When each of us prays for others, we create solidarity in prayer.
Praying for others is a one of the most secret and delicate gestures of charity. Prayer acquires an unimaginable strength when said together with others. In this we are certain from the words of Jesus, who assures us of His presence when we are reunited in His name:
"For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them."
(Matthew 18,20)

Dear Saint Anthony I write this to thank you because I do not know how to honour you. Of every saint, you are the one I trust the most. I am so absent minded, always losing things, and it causes me much distress. Whenever I do, like a child I call to you and you help me. I am not even a proper Christian, but you help anyway. I promised you I would honour your feast day, but I don't know how to begin. So I write this, with all my heart, to thank you for the thousand kindnesses you show to a mind and heart beset. Please St. Anthony, please hear my prayers and help my husband Curt to start to see progress with his recovery from the Prostate procedure....please help him to be healed Quickly! Help him to see and be able to experience some of this progress TODAY and to feel that he is being healed in order to do God's work here on this earth.
Dear St. Anthony, Please please help me to pass step 1 of the US medical licensing exam in June 2010. Please help Nick and Jason to do well on their exams too. Please help Nick and I to reconcile and find our way back to one another- we have lost our way, please help us to regain it and renew our engagement. We have been together for over 13 years and were supposed to be married this year but we had a terrible fight on March 25 and now he no longer wants to marry me because I wrongly accused him of cheating. Please help him to find the love that he has for me in his heart and please help him to find mercy to forgive me so we can go on together. If you can help us, we will come and visit you, first at the national shrine in the US and then in Italy. Thank you for all your help to my family. Love Abby
Dear St. Anthony, I am asking for your intercession on behalf of my daughter Sarah. She acknowledges that she needs to move on with her life. A change of jobs and location is on the horizon. She is not going to church these days. I can only pray for her to turn back to Jesus. She has many doubts because of a disappointment with the the diocese administration where she used to live. I ask you to please open her heart to Jesus once more because in the depths of her soul she knows He waits for her. Thank you
Please help my aunt who has been recently been diagnosed with terminal cancer, we hope she has some more time to enjoy the life she loves
